Milton Sánchez - the traditional music of Ecuador on the Andean Harp

Harpist Milton Sánchez comes from a small town with an indigenous population in the Ecuadorian highlands. He learned to play the traditional Andean harp at the age of six with his grandfather.

The harp came to the South American continent with the Spanish conquerors.
It was used by missionaries instead of the difficult-to-carry organ in church music and quickly spread throughout the area of what is now Ecuador. However, there are only a few indigenous harpists.

Milton Sánchez is a harpist, who considers himself a preserver of traditional music, but who also
teaches new styles that exist today.

With its vast repertoire of modern and ancient musical pieces,
some of which also have pre-Columbian characteristics,
Milton Sánchez is a highly sought-after artist in Ecuador and Europe.
With melancholic melodies, but also energetic and happy
and the wonderful sound of your own Andean harp
Milton Sánchez effortlessly captivates his entire audience.

Harp and Dance - Milton Sánchez

Arpa y Danza was created by Milton Sánchez in 2017 and presents music and dance mainly from Ecuador.

Harp and Dance impresses its audience due to its light way of presenting the music of South America combining with elements from Bavaria.

In case of interest, you can request an offer without compromise.
